One can learn from anything !

Whenever I am reading a story or watching a movie or for that matter talking to someone I add some knowledge which gets lodged in my subconscious and surprisingly it comes handy for a solution.
While writing this blog the signature tune of the popular movie of Clint Eastwood "The Good ,the  Bad and the Ugly " is playing in Alexa in my dinning hall.
One particular sequence always stands out in my mind of the above movie. Tuco , Eli Wallach, the Ugly of the movie is lying in a bathtub after a grueling horse ride ,enjoying a leisurely bath.A gun man suddenly barges in and starts describing how he was searching for him and now he will shoot him like a dog h etc. Eli Wallach suddenly picks up the gun lying by his side and shoots the man and then he delivers the famous line " when you are going to shoot, shoot don't talk.
Yes that's the lesson when we often waste time in talking all sorts of things instead coming to the point thus waste everyone's time.
Or take for instance the immortal sequence of the film Casablanca where Ingrid Bergman walks in Humphrey Boggart's Cafe  where she finds Sam ( Dooley Wilson) on piano. She delivers the memorable dialogue "Play it again ,Sam for old times sake ". Reluctantly Sam with nudging from Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman ) starts playing "as time goes by.." But then suddenly Rick ( Humphrey Boggart) walks in and shouts at Sam as he had asked him never to play that song. This movie is about a failed love and sacrifice. Lots to learn from Rick's character how he balances adverse situations.
I have used quite often Sherlock Holmes famous observation in "Silver Blaze " when a prized horse was stolen from the stable.
Gregory ( Scotland Yard detective )  asked Sherlock Holmes is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
Holmes: Curious incidence of the dog which didn't bark in the night.
From the above incidence Holmes derived that the intruder was a known person so the dog didn't bark.
Similarly during dealing personal issues my mind automatically scans for something which is not a normal practice. In one organization a letter was shot against a person when that organization has no such practice of writing insinuating letters.
I had discussion with HR and gave my opinion that some kind of grudge is behind such letter. HR with the help of a senior officer handled the issue maturedly.
To conclude I must mention the  learning from the ageless song sung by Doris Day," Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be !"
Now I follow the message of this song and take the life easy, don't try to interfere and change circumstances, I adjust.
